I am pleased to serve as the President of the New York State Educational Media Technology Association for the 2024-25 term. The EMTA organization is dedicated to enhancing media resources and professional development opportunities for our members and the school districts they support, and I’m honored to be part of this work. Central to our mission is the promotion of media literacy statewide and ensuring equitable access to high-quality media technologies.

Our annual Spring Conference, to be held in March 2025, is a highlight of our calendar. This event brings together institutional and corporate partners to hear from national experts in media literacy, participate in collaborative discussions, and share best practices. Another cornerstone of EMTA is the Media Literacy grants program, which empowers educators to implement innovative media projects. Our organization thrives through the involvement of dedicated members working together. Through our important and timely work we advance media literacy across New York State.
