I am honored to serve as the 2022-23 President of the New York State Educational Media Technology Association. As an organization, we work together to provide exceptional media resources and professional learning opportunities for our members, and by extension, the school districts they serve. We strive to strengthen media literacy across the state and promote equitable access to high-quality media technologies. We are proud of our unique structure that fosters collaboration between institutional and corporate partners. 

 

The Media Literacy grants that we award each year afford opportunities for innovative educators to launch cutting-edge media programs and projects. Click on the Media Literacy Project Grant tab to hear from last year’s winners, and to find the current grant application.

 

Our annual Spring Conference is the culmination of our organization’s overarching mission. Institutional and corporate partners gather each March to hear from national media literacy experts, engage in collaborative conversations, and share new ideas and best practices with one another. We hope that you will consider attending this year on March 7-9, 2023 at the Embassy Suites in East Syracuse.
